Adopt
The shelter is open by appointment only. If you wish to adopt a young cat or kitten, please let us know what you are looking for and when you are available. Please leave a phone number where we can reach you and the times that you can accept calls. Allow us a few days to respond, since many of us have full time jobs and family to take care of in addition to the cats.
Surrender Found Kittens
If you found kittens that you are trying to place, a recent photo to show us size would be helpful. We will use that to help find a suitable place in our shelter or at a foster home. We request a donation to Precious Paws Rescue to help us cover the veterinary costs to get them ready for adoption.
Kittens are best raised by their mom until they are close to 2 pounds or about 2 months old. If they are too young to effectively eat moist cat food they are too young to be taken from their mom and given to our organization.
However, kittens need to get comfortable with people between the ages of 4-12 weeks to be easily socialized and adapt to an indoor life. If their experiences with people are not positive before they reach 3 months of age they may have a hard time accepting us, and may remain too feral to be welcomed into a home as a house pet.
Volunteer
If you are interested in volunteering your services to help care for cats, work adoption events, raise funds, or contribute in other ways, let us know your interests, a phone number, and best times to call. Your email will go to the appropriate volunteer to contact you.

We graciously accept monetary donations and other items on our wish list. Please email us to make arrangements for drop-off or pick-up.
